Hero is a one off race boat from the One Ton design. She was famously raced throughout the UK starting life in Scotland and moving to Cowes for Grand Prix racing during the late 90’s and early 00’s. She has competed in all manner of races from Cowes week to the Fastnet and has the reputation of being one of the fastest One Tonners ever built. Although no longer competing in Grand Prix racing due to rule and handicapping changes, she is ideally suited to the Three Peaks Yacht Race which is a non handicap (first over the line) race. Hero is expected to be one of, or even the fastest yacht in the race, further supporting the efforts of the team to be the first home.
